Links are not located appropriately?

The Better Than TV Weather - North America page should have its linkages appear as seen below.
If this is not what your see, your browser's Text Size settings are not the defaults common to the Internet.
The image seen below was captured from the designer's Netscape 7.2 browser presentation.
Recently I have found that your monitor and its "resolution setting" can distort the author's intended presentation. Sorry, but I can not define your computer environment except to suggest better browsers.

Obtain Quickres for Win95-98-ME-NT Systems
( Win2000 require 95 DLL files )

The Win95 and Win98 has a very useful utility to quickly alter the monitor configurations, called "Quickres.exe". Those viewers using either of these Windows Systems you can obtain this utility via two methods.

  • Download http://passco.com/quickres.exe from PASSCo, then SAVE ON THE DISKTOP. Move it to the Quick Launch section of the Status Bar when desired.

  • The utility is probably present within each system at the present time. This ia a better method as the result places the iocon in the System Tray (with the time display).
    1. Right-click an empty area of the desktop and
      choose "Properties".
    2. On the multi-tabbed dialog box that appears,
      select the "Settings" tab.
    3. Click on the "Advanced" button.
    4. On the dialog box that appears,
check "Show settings icon on task bar" and
press "OK" to close the dialog box.
    5. A new display icon will appear on the taskbar.
    6. Click the icon and a list of possible display settings will appear.
    7. Click on a setting to change your display options.

  • Obtain Quickres 2 for XP

Having recently "googling" Quickres I found this site.  Having a friend with XP download this utility ; he said that it works similar to the earlier versions.  Would a Vista user please check this utility ... Thanks!

A Google search provided this site:

    Author's Browser Design Choice

After extesnsive googling, others have noted that the Internet Explorer browser processes the "hspace=" HTML element differently than the Mozilla browsers (the world's accepted standard).
This element defines the horizonal pixel value between images.  This element processing may also be IE browser version dependent.
In some case, IE ignores the element altogether, or (as suspected by this author) the "hspace=0" sets the value to the default value, rather than "zero or no value". It is possible the default values of the IE browser may be different (=1 or =2) than the Mozilla browsers.

    Netscape 7.2 - Original Size (100%)
    Internet Explorer 6.0 ---- Smallest
FireFox 1.0.7 - Normal (or smaller)
FireFox 2 and Firefox 3 MUST have browser text=size

Failure to do so virtually makes linkage useless.

For More Info: Use Yahoo Search with
