Attending were forty-two class members, spouses and friends enjoyed a cookout at Camp Hertzer
the first weekend of August,
as the Tiffin Columbian class of 1953 kicked off their 55th reunion celebration.
Pat (Sheely) Reinbolt and Vice President Warren Reinbolt, Bill and Jean Hertzer, Jan Carper and Secretary Dave Zartman comprised the committee
for this initial event.
On Saturday sixty-eight gathered at the Amvets for the annual dinner and class meeting.
Warren Reinbolt offered the invocation. The meeting was conducted by President Pat Reinbolt.
She thanked the class members who have been working for two years in preparation.
A necrology service was given by President Pat Reinbolt and Secretary Dave Zartman honoring the memory of the
twenty-six departed class members.
There are ninty-eight remaining class members.
After the minutes of the 50th class reunion were read, President Pat Reinbolt announced the new slate
of officers for the next get together.
They are President Pat and Warren Reinbolt, 1st Vice Joe Steininger, Secreatry Dave Zartman and Treasurer John Unger.
Discussion was held but no action was taken on when and what type of activities would be
featured at the next reunion.
Door prizes were given out to the attendees.
They were wooden models and Tiffin Columbian Alumni Association one year memberships.
Winners were Jim Repp, Carol Baum, Anna Fleck,
Bob Nepper, Donald Comesky, Janet Carper,
Shirley Culver and Barbara Collier.
The remainder of the evening was spent in chit chat and looking at memorabilia.
Twenty members went to T. J. Willies on Sunday morning to enjoy the breakfast buffet.
