Independent Consultant    Contracted with former employer (Warner Computer Systems) for part-time FORTRAN programming support related to changes in auto insurance ratings. Contracted with consulting firm (PRISM) whose client (MERCK) required a VISUAL BASIC for DOS application for an IRS report related to businesses that do business with countries which boycott Iseral. Contracted with Data Industries (consulting firm) whose client (AVON) required QuickBasic sales support applications for their top corporate executivies. Programs secured mainframe extracts of data, then displayed analysis through user-friendly PC displays and graphics.

As a self-employed Consultant/Analyst/Programmer/Developer, using VISUAL BASIC, produced several products, including syntax formatter for MS-BASIC language product line ( BASICA, QB, PDS, VBDOS and VBWIN) and FOXPRO, and Borland dBASE, and other language and database packages. Various versions of these products have been released to the shareware market. Written in VISUAL BASIC for DOS, this program has potential for release in a Windows Version. Developed a graphic promotional/advertising program for a small computer retail sales and manufacturing firm using QuickBasic 4.5. Also, developes CGA, EGA and VGA graphic logos for various firms and products. Began the design a "flight pay" program for use by commercial pilots. Original programming changed from Quickbasic to Visual Basic.

Using MS-QuickBasic 4.5, the data was entered through user-friendly screens, then uploaded to mainframe systems in order to update various mainframe FORTRAN databases.

Senior Computer Consultant (P/A)    Thirteen month contract with AT&T at Bedminster, NJ. Converted numerous FORTRAN 66 programs to VS/CMS FORTRAN 77 standards. Many programs required enhancements to DISSPLA graphic programs. All conversions required enhancements. Assigned new programs and completed. Provided personal computer support for division personnel. User-friendly PC DOS interfaces were developed for text scanning equipment. Virus detection and a data reduction program for modem transmission were completed.

Senior Consultant/Analyst    Member of a conversion/migration analysis team assigned to two major NJ pharmaceutical firms ( SQUIBB, Hoffman-LaRouce ). One conversion was from PDP DEC-11 RSTS-E system to DEC VAX, IBM mainframe, or IBM PC's. This project involved programs in FORTRAN IV, BASIC2-Plus and BASIC. The second conversion involved a Honeywell system migration to a DEC VAX, and IBM PC's and involving FORTRAN programs.
